We often hear the advice “make every minute count”. I have been thinking about what that means to me and I’ve boiled it down to a few simple truths; “live every day to its fullest; do my best and be comfortable with it, and make a conscious effort to enjoy my life”.
A great measure of success is in how happy we are and it is usually manifested in feeling our best. I have found that satisfaction and fulfillment is based in a balanced approach to life. A positive attitude sets the tone for those around you – bringing your own personality, energy and style is what individuality is all about.
So for 2013, I am encouraging my family and friends to set their intentions on many levels. Take a long positive look at yourself and list all the great things that you want to build on. It’s important to honor the gifts that you have and bring them to front of everything you do.
So what will you do this year? Read 10 books – or maybe write one? Watch your children play sports – or take up one yourself? Dance more, cook more, laugh more – worry less? Worry is proportionate to the amount of faith you have in any given thing. Will you make career decisions, travel, change your hairstyle, make new friends? Prepare for a momentous year and then make it happen. Wellness comes from within and starts with great intention.
So here’s to you, your vitality and to 2013!
