May is National Celiac Awareness month and we want to help create better awareness and celebrate some great options for the gluten free lifestyle. thinkThin® has been gluten free since the company’s inception. We believe that our products are uncompromisingly delicious; they are enjoyed by a wide range of consumers including those who live gluten free.
At thinkThin® we understand first hand, the concerns and obstacles that a diagnosis of celiac or gluten sensitivity brings. We are fortunate that there are so many great gluten free options on the market now and we are very proud to offer our own great tasting gluten free food that is packed and ready to go with you whereever the day takes you.
Being gluten free means you have to do a little more planning and research. It’s possible to live life to its fullest and as you may know, we are all about that!
As part of celiac disease month, we are sharing our top recommendations so you can live gluten free successfully and happily.
• Communication is key Upon hearing your diagnosis or decision to go gluten free, it’s important that your family and friends understand what it means to eat gluten free and why proper practices are vital to the positive success of your personal health and wellness.
• Play detective Read, read and read some more. Gluten hides in food ingredients that are not recognizable, which at first can be frustrating when grocery shopping or dining out. The Celiac Disease Foundation serves as a wonderful resource and can assist in learning more about healthy living with celiac disease, including helpful hints with food labels: www.celiac.org
• Support There are hundreds of community support groups dedicated to celiac and gluten intolerant consumers. These groups are beneficial for providing support and answers to gluten-free products, restaurants and travel tips. Sometimes local celiac chapters sponsor gluten-free vendor fairs, where you can sample and try new gluten free products available at your local retail store. thinkThin® is a proud supporter of various gluten free vendor fairs across the country. For a support group or vendor fair in your community, check out www.celiac.org, www.gluten.net or www.csaceliacs.info for more information.
• Positive Attitude When going gluten-free, think of it as an overall enrichment to your health and wellness. What a wonderful opportunity to explore new foods and tantalize your taste buds with vibrant flavors. Visit your local farmer’s market and try out a new vegetable or exotic fruit. The options are plentiful when going gluten-free and thinkThin® is here to serve as an additional resource for your gluten-free needs.
• Be prepared We all live busy lives, from soccer practice to work to balancing personal time between school, travel and errands. Sometimes there is simply not enough time to eat healthy. Since thinkThin® is certified gluten free, we believe we are the perfect food to turn to.
• Get involved Sometimes it takes a few baby steps to take a giant step when changing an entire diet to gluten-free. That’s why thinkThin® supports the University of Maryland’s Center for Celiac Research and the strides it has made in paving the way for celiac disease. Across the country, the University of Maryland’s Center for Celiac Research hosts “Making Tracks for Celiacs” walks throughout the year. thinkThin® is proud to participate in each of these walks by powering up walkers with our high protein, gluten-free nutrition bars.

• Have fun! Simply put, at thinkThin® we want everyone to live a healthy and vibrant life. Embrace your knowledge and empower yourself to be a champion and advocate for those needing support living gluten-free.
To your vitality!
